PRIVACY POLICY

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information you provide directly — such as your email address, display name, and preferences when you create an account. We also collect usage data automatically, including listening history, favorite stations, search queries, and device information.

When you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from that provider. We do not access your contacts, calendar, or other account data.

Third-party streaming servers. When you listen to a station, your device may connect directly to third-party streaming servers operated by the station or its providers. Those parties may receive technical data such as your IP address, user-agent, and connection timestamps as part of delivering the stream. Their collection and use of that data is governed by their own policies.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

Your data powers account features such as favorites, listening history, saved preferences, semantic search access, and optional DJ commentary.

We may review aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve search relevance and station catalog quality. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

RadioHear may use third-party AI services for station tags, meta taxonomy, DJ commentary, text embeddings, and related search behavior. Your search queries and station metadata may be processed by these services when those features are enabled.

We do not send your personal profile data to these providers unless a feature explicitly requires it.

Streaming providers. Station audio streams and station websites are operated by third parties. RadioHear does not control their logging, cookies, or data practices.

4. COOKIES & LOCAL STORAGE

We use essential cookies for sign-in sessions and functional storage for playback and DJ preferences such as volume, last station, and DJ settings. We do not set non-essential or advertising cookies. RadioHear does not control whether third-party station websites or stream hosts set their own cookies or similar technologies when you access their services.

We may collect aggregated, anonymized analytics data (such as page views and feature usage counts) to improve the platform. This data is not linked to your personal identity and is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

5. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY

Application data is stored on infrastructure we control directly. Data is encrypted in transit, and operational backups follow the hosting environment's retention policy.

You can permanently delete your account at any time from the Danger Zone on your profile page. Deletion immediately removes your account, library, and preferences. For deletion assistance or any other privacy request, contact us at privacy@radiohear.com.

6. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. You can manage your data from your profile settings or by contacting us at privacy@radiohear.com.

If you're in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to restrict processing and data portability.
